10 Aug Sefiani wins big in PRovoke’s 2026 awards series: named an agency of the future, top agency to work for and finalist for ANZ Agency of the Year
Reflecting our evolving direction, Sefiani, part of Clarity Global, is celebrating some big wins from PRovoke Media’s ongoing and highly competitive 2026 award series:
- Certificate of Excellence, Agency of the Future at the 2026 Asia-Pacific IN2 SABRE Awards, recognising our AI-driven repositioning including the launch of our proprietary AI visibility platform, Surfacd, and GEO consultancy.
- Best Australia and New Zealand Agency to Work For, voted on by our own people in PRovoke Media’s regional employee survey.
- Named among PRovoke Media’s 16 Best Agencies in Australia and New Zealand, making us a finalist for Australia and New Zealand Agency of the Year: to be announced soon.
Over the last few years, as media fragments and AI reshapes how people find and trust brands, Sefiani has made a deliberate choice: to sharpen our focus around AI-driven marketing and communications, helping B2B organisations in highly regulated sectors stay both visible and trusted as discovery changes. We’re doing this by drawing on our 25+ year heritage as one of Australia’s leading reputation management consultancies, and are taking advice we’ve given to many of our clients: to be ahead of the industry, rather than reacting to changes as they happen.
Being recognised in these three prestigious categories by PRovoke tells this story from three different angles: our strategy, the people that bring it to life, and the work we’re producing.
Agency of the Future: AI as a stakeholder

Today, customers, investors, journalists and employees routinely ask AI tools to explain brands, compare options and recall past issues. Those answers are increasingly shaping business decisions, reputational risk and board-level advice.
Many agencies are still advising clients on how to win headlines and chase page-one rankings. We’re choosing a different starting point. In March 2026, we launched Surfacd, an AI-powered brand visibility platform built with Clarity Global, which shows how brands are presented and recommended across AI search environments including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Grok, AI Mode and AI Overviews.
Surfacd brings to light what AI currently believes about a brand: how often it appears against competitors, and which articles, reports and forums AI is drawing on to form that view. Using this insight, we build integrated GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) programs that align earned, owned, search, social and internal communications around the AI journeys that matter most.
We also articulated a problem many organisations we’ve spoken with are grappling with. Our GEO ownership research with OnePoll found that 91% of Australian marketing and communications leaders have already changed strategy because of AI-driven discovery, yet almost none had a clear owner for how their brand appears in AI answers. We took that finding to a marcomms leaders’ dinner in Sydney, and to the stage at Mumbrella CommsCon 2026, where our Managing Partner Mandy Galmes chaired a panel unpacking how GEO is reshaping the playing field.
Mandy said: “We still put reputation first, especially for brands where every word is watched by regulators, investors and communities. The difference is that now we care as much about what AI says about our clients as we do about the front page. Our job is to make sure that when someone, or something, goes looking for our clients’ story, they find a clear, consistent and current version of exactly what they want to be known for.”
Being named alongside the world’s largest holding company networks in the Agency of the Future category confirms that this repositioning, and the technology and services built to support it, is genuinely redefining what a modern communications agency looks like.
Best Australia and New Zealand Agency to Work For: the people behind the strategy

Unlike our other PRovoke recognitions, this one is unique because it is decided entirely by our own people. PRovoke Media’s regional Best Agencies to Work For survey asks employees about leadership, workplace culture, ethics, professional development, financial compensation, and diversity and inclusion. Based on our people’s rankings across these categories, Sefiani came out on top for Australia and New Zealand.
Context matters, relationships matter, and specialist expertise matters. That belief sits at the heart of how we operate, with a senior, experienced team that works hands-on with clients day in and day out. We live by our REAL values, respect, energise, aspire, learn, and we back that with real investment in our people: this has recently included the establishment of our AI Academy, a company-wide Global AI Day where client work pauses so the whole agency can experiment with new tools, and clear guidelines so everyone, from juniors to the leadership team, can use AI safely and confidently.
We’re also proud to be a B Corp certified agency through Clarity Global, meeting high standards of social and environmental impact, transparency and accountability, and to give back through pro and low bono work supporting causes including Women for Election, veteran families, men’s mental health, and refugee support.
PRovoke Media founder and editor Paul Holmes said: “Selected by the people who work for PR firms around the world, our Best Agencies to Work For awards are understandably among the most coveted trophies we present. No matter the state of the industry, the ability to attract and retain top talent is critical to success, and these awards signal those firms leading the industry.”
A strategy built for an AI-shaped world only works if the team behind it backs it too.
Named a Best Agency in Australia and New Zealand, finalist for Agency of the Year

PRovoke Media has also named Sefiani among its 16 Best Agencies in Australia and New Zealand, making us a finalist for the region’s Agency of the Year, to be awarded at the Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards ceremony in Singapore on 18 August.
We help clients build awareness, engagement, influence, reputation and growth, and this recognition reflects the work behind that. Some of the work referenced in our award entry includes:
- Our Airbus campaign which reframed Sustainable Aviation Fuel as a $13 billion economic and national security opportunity for Australia, building sustained authority that AI tools now draw on when asked about Australia’s energy future.
- Our work with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia which helped shift how the organisation communicates with its own people through a major employee communications transformation.
- And campaigns with clients including Cochlear, Zepto, Uber for Business and Lime, where we’ve paired deep strategic counsel with the confidence to experiment and lead through change.
Being named among 16 finalists out of 75 of the best agencies across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and South Asia is recognition from peers and judges that this work is landing, not just for our clients today, but in the record AI tools will draw on for years to come.
