CHALLENGE: Sefiani was engaged by global professional services firm EY (Ernst & Young) to enhance the firm’s profile, drive thought leadership positioning and new client opportunities in the Australian university sector. Sefiani helped to evaluate existing and new points of view, that aligned with the firm’s most important growth sectors.
STRATEGY: We worked closely with EY to launch The University of the Future report, evaluating the performance of Australian universities in the face of disruption and questioning the relevance of some degrees. The launch was prior to the Federal Budget, to ensure maximum interest to journalists on a politically charged subject.
IMPACT: The launch was an outstanding success. The headline Are university degrees obsolete? went global, with even BBC News picking up the story. High-reach broadcast interviews were secured for EY’s spokesperson on mainstream TV and radio. With reach of 47 million and ongoing requests for interviews, EY was positioned as a leader in the education sector, and $10m in contracts was secured within 3 months of the launch.
