21 Jan Sefiani supporting bushfire recovery efforts
With Australia ravaged by the worst bushfires the country has seen, the best of humanity has been demonstrated and the importance to act has been reflected in the actions of brave volunteer fire fighters as well as businesses and individuals worldwide.
Sefiani is pleased to be providing pro bono communications support to Foodbank NSW and ACT urging people to help not only with monetary donations, but through the donation of groceries for fire victims. To date, Foodbank NSW and ACT has delivered 150 pallets of food, groceries, produce, personal hygiene items and pet food, which is the equivalent of 60,000 kilos. This equates to 120,000 meals to affected communities! Read more about Foodbank’s initiatives here.
We’re also working on another wonderful initiative with an organisation that will come to light soon and we’ve donated to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal.
To continue our ongoing support, we’ve introduced two days of Paid Volunteering Leave per year for our staff to help with bushfire recovery efforts or other causes of their choice and this is an ongoing leave policy.
Our thoughts go out to all the people and communities that have been affected by the fires. We are now encouraging our team to plan holidays this year to affected towns doing it tough after the fires.
