eToro, the global multi-asset trading and investment platform, has appointed Sefiani as its communications agency in Australia following a competitive pitch process.

A key component of Sefiani’s communication program for eToro will be to build financial literacy among Australia’s growing number of everyday investors and traders, who wish to take tighter control of their money and investment decisions with access to global markets simply and transparently through eToro’s online platform.

Robert Francis, Managing Director, eToro Australia, said it was the right time for eToro to build a strong presence in the Australian market.

In 2007, eToro was set up with the aim of opening up financial markets for everyone, empowering them to invest on their own terms and has been disrupting financial services around the world ever since. It was among the first to pioneer social trading where people can share investment strategies and market views with each other as well as being able to copy the trades and strategies of others.

Through eToro, users can trade and invest across a wide range of asset classes linked to international shares, indices, commodities, ETFs and crypto assets.  They can also copy the portfolios of eToro’s most successful traders and can invest in instruments according to sectors or themes in which they have a particular interest such as travel, genome engineering, drone tech, food and drink, medicinal marijuana, payment platforms, and sustainable companies.

Sefiani Director Sarah Craig, who, earlier in her career, was a London-based stockbroker, said Sefiani was excited to be working with eToro.
